    Whether you are starting a new business or are an existing employer, our goal is to help you find the resources and information that you need to succeed. 

    Below is a list of local and state agencies that provide resources that may be pertinent to the type of business you wish to start in Danville. 

     

     

     

  • Development Resources - There are many opportunities to learn how to run your business more efficiently and get individual help in Danville.  Through resources such as East Bay SCORE or the Contra Costa Small Business Development Center, you can find counseling and workshops to help your business.
     
    Employment Resources - If you are an employer with questions about your employees, use one of the East Bay Works Career Centers or the Human Resources Hotline.  You can learn about connecting with employees, job training opportunities, and much more.
     
    Financing Resources - Finance and expand your business with one of the resources available. See if you can get help from the SBA or the CDBG Small Business Loan Program, and look into Danville's Retail Incentives Program for funding.
     
    Networking Resources - Connect with other businesses as well as your customers in Danville.  You may be able to get help through the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Discover Danville Association, or one of the many local networking organizations.
     
    Other Resources - Find other resources that Danville offers that may be relevant to your business, such as information about how to make your business a green business.

  • How to Bid on Public Projects

    If you own a small business and are interested in learning more about how to bid on public projects, the California Construction Contracting Program is offering free training, counseling, and resources to assist you in successfully bidding and winning contracts. Please visit their website for useful information:

    In addition, Caltrans and the U.S. Small Business Administration now offer a technical assistance surety bond guarantee program to promote increased small business participation in Caltrans, State highway, and transit projects.
