    Twisted-Chiseled-Fired

    Invitational Sculpture Exhibition

    July 29 - September 4

     Twisted-Chiseled-Fired is an ambitious, contemporary sculpture exhibition featuring a variety of diverse pieces.  The practice of carving and chiseling rock until it becomes a sculpture is a constant that is repeated throughout history.  The diverse sculptures in this exhibition combine the artist's personal concerns with content, creative process and technical ability and for some, an amazing, playful sense of humor.

    The Town of Danville Village Theatre Art Gallery is currently accepting curatorial proposals to guest curate an exhibition beginning July 2010. The Village Theatre Art Gallery is a 1,000 sq. ft. exhibition space which opened its doors on November 13, 2009.

  • Become a Gallery Greeter

    Share your passion for art with your community!

    The Village Theatre Art Gallery is seeking volunteers who will greet visitors and inspire our community to appreciate fine art.  Becoming a gallery greeter offers you the opportunity to learn about different works of art, artists, historical periods, and cultures. Greeters provide an essential link between the exhibit and the visitor and are the heart of the museum experience. No experience necessary. Training will be provided, and flexible shifts are available.
