The Town of Danville is committed to improving the quality of life in Danville by strengthening our neighborhoods, delivering superior services, and making Danville a desirable, safe town in which to live, work, raise a family, shop, play and grow old.
The Town of Danville is a healthy and safe place to live, work and play - in part due to the many services the Town and local agencies provide. Our Police Department is involved in public education - from distributing free gun-locks to finger-print kits for children. The local Fire Department provides first aid and CPR training for employees and citizens and educates students on fire safety. Both the Fire and Police Departments sponsor Citizen Academies that allow citizens to get a behind-the-scenes crash course on what it takes to protect the public.
Danville's primary public safety services are contracted with the Contra Costa County Sherrifs Office and the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
Other public safety services — animal control, pest control, emergency services, risk management, etc. - are either provided by the Town, or are supplied by Contra Costa County.
