The Town of Danville acknowledges the importance of trees to the community's health, safety welfare, and tranquility. The preservation of trees enhances the natural beauty, sustains the long term potential increase in property values, and retains the tempering effect of extreme temperatures. On July 7, 2009 the Town Council adopted the Tree Preservation Ordinance, Section 32-79 of the Municipal Code, which requires an approved Tree Permit be obtained before certain trees are removed.
