• General Plan & Zoning

  • The Town’s small-town character is the result of deliberate and careful planning efforts.  Danville’s General Plan defines long range goals and serves as a guide to future growth within the community.  General Plan goals are implemented through zoning regulations applicable to each zoning district.

    General Plan

General Plans reflect the values and contributions of the community and need to be updated on a periodic basis to reflect current community values, updated technical information, and to address environmental and legislative changes that have occurred subsequent to the last update. The Town is currently in the process of updating its existing General Plan, adopted in 1999.

Detailed information about the 2030 General Plan Update is available. To stay informed about the General Plan process and receive notifications of upcoming meetings, sign up for eNews alerts (select the General Plan Update option).

The Zoning Code contains land use regulations that implement General Plan policies.
