Message from Chief Simpkins:

My name is Steve Simpkins and I wanted to take a moment to express how honored I am to be selected as the Danville Police Chief. Having the opportunity to be a part of such an excellent organization is very exciting. I look forward to working with our officers and members of the community.  

I encourage Town residents to call us and utilize our services. Preventing crime is a partnership; your watchful eyes around the community can only enhance our crime fighting abilities. For our part, we will keep a constant eye out for the safety and welfare of the community and be pro-active in our efforts.

I would also like to encourage Town residents to contact the Police Department with any suggestions they may have on how we can better serve the community. I have always maintained an “open door” policy and I hope our residents will bring their concerns to me.

I am extremely proud of the staff at our Police Department. You are being served by a group of true professionals whose commitment to providing the highest level of police services brings distinction to the Town of Danville.
