     Chief S.small

As we begin a new year with 2012, I would like to take a moment to look back at 2011 and thank the residents of the Town of Danville for their support during this challenging year. It is truly an honor to work for a Town that cares as much as Danville does. Whether it is honoring a fallen soldier or helping search for a missing child, the residents of Danville are second to none.

In keeping with that theme of duty and responsibility, I want to stress  that  our mission is to have a police department that is second to none in service to the community. Our officers will continue to work to keep crime out of our neighborhoods and off our streets.  At the same time, we will expand upon programs we have initiated to continue building and maintaining our relationships within the community.

We look forward to offering our Citizen’s Academy again this Spring and will have another Open House in the Fall. We will be releasing our Annual Report for 2011 at the March 20th Town Council meeting. We invite all residents to review that document and provide your input. We also extend an open invitation to participate in a ride-along with our officers to get a first-hand look at the day to day operation of the Danville Police Department.

Thank you again for your support of the police department. Your trust and faith in us is something we strive to maintain at all times.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns,

    Steve Simpkins

    Chief of Police
