• Senior Sneaker Trips

    Tomales Bay Senior Trip

    The Town of Danville’s Senior Sneakers program is a great way for you to make new friends and get out and around the greater Bay Area. There’s always something new to see and learn. 

    Registration for May/June 2013 Senior Sneaker trips will take place beginning April 10 for Danville residents and April 12 for non-residents.  You can submit your registration form from the Silver Streak newsletter to the Danville Senior Center, 115 E. Prospect, Danville, CA 94526.   Registration forms will be processed on the date listed above beginning at 8:30 a.m.

    All trips meet at the Danville Park & Ride lot unless otherwise noted in the trip details.

  • Trip Activity Levels

    Each trip has an assigned Activity Level and each participant must be able to walk six steep steps to board the bus. The Activity Level for each trip is based upon the potential required physical exertion for each trip.  

    Below is the definition for each activity level:

    Level 1: Easy, sitting/little walking. Must be able to stand 10 minutes without assistance or bring your walker or wheelchair.

    Level 2: Small amount of walking.

    Level 3: Moderate to heavy walking

    Level 4: Heavy amount of walking/standing

    Level 5: Strenuous walking/hiking  

    If you aren’t sure where you fit, give us a call at 925-314-3490. Please let us know if you have any physical limitations prior to signing up for a trip so that we can accommodate your needs ahead of time.

     

  • How Do I Register?

    Send or drop off your registration form to the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St. Danville, 94526, (925) 314-3400.  The Community Center is conveniently located adjacent to the Danville Library.

    Danville residents receive priority when registering for all Town of Danville programs.

  • Refund Policy

    When registration falls below the minimum enrollment required, it may be necessary to cancel a trip. At the time of cancellation, the Town will initiate a full refund. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for refunds to be processed. Withdrawal and refund requests must be submitted at least five working days prior to the trip. You may elect to receive a credit on your account with no fees charged or a refund less a $20 cancellation fee. Refunds cannot be given for any reason for trips designated NON-REFUNDABLE.
