We offer a sequence of programs designed to develop swimmers into full fledged lifeguards. The Junior Lifeguard Basics class (ages 11-14) provides an introduction to the Aquatics profession. Participants learn lifeguarding techniques, the basics of water safety instruction, and other valuable job skills. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the Junior Guard volunteer program. At age 15 and up, students can take our Lifeguard Training Classes, in which they gain skills to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course certifies participants in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. For more specific program information, please visit our online course catalog.
Aquatics is a lifelong activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you enjoy swimming laps, playing around in the water, water aerobics classes, or swim lessons, water is a great way to increase your health and lifelong well being.
