  • Affordable Housing Ownership Opportunities

The Town of Danville Below Market Rate  (BMR) unit program is tailored for households in the “median” and “moderate” income categories, as defined by the Area Median Income index. The affordable housing available through this program includes pre-identified units which are deed restricted to remain affordable for a 20 year period (with respect to other homes within the Town). These units range in price between $350,000 to $425,000 +/-. Units become available as part of new development projects or when current owners decide to sell their existing units.

The Town of Danville has elected to use the Tri-Valley Housing Opportunity Center (TVHOC) to obtain qualified candidates for BMR unit purchases. Candidates who have completed the Center’s set of courses will be highest on the priority list when units become available. TVHOC assists the Town and ensures those interested in the BMR programs are ready for home ownership. TVHOC also provides home buyer education, financial education, foreclosure recovery, down payment assistance, and alternatives for those who are not yet ready for home ownership at this time.

Persons interested in becoming an approved candidate for the Town of Danville BMR unit program should register at www.tvhoc.org or call (925) 373-3130 and begin the process today.
