Occasionally, staff will receive inquiries regarding the feasibility of implementing a residential parking permit program. These requests typically come from residents who live within the immediate vicinity of a school or close to the downtown core. Currently, the Town only issues a small number of overnight residential parking permits to the residents of the apartments located on East Linda Mesa Avenue, at the intersection of Rose Street. Due to the limited amount of parking in the area, and given the mixed-use of retail and residential occupancy, special parking permits are required for these residents. This area is the only residential parking permit zone within the Town of Danville. The residential permits are issued by the Danville Police Department, and can be obtained by providing proof of address. The Danville Police Department is located at 510 La Gonda Way, and is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
