The Danville Library is part of the Contra Costa County Library System.
The Danville Library, an 18,000 square-foot building completed in 1996, is located adjacent to the Community Center. The Library serves the many and various requirements of the highly educated population in the area and provides unique resources to thousands of local students. In addition to its sizable collection of books, magazines and other media, the Library provides regular programs on an array of topics. Some of these include Pre-school reading, the Summer Reading Program, Mad Science and Paws to Read.
The 576 square-foot Mt. Diablo Room is available to rent for meetings, classes, and other indoor activities. The room can accommodate 25 for dining and 40 for assembly-style seating.

A 25% surcharge will be assessed for residents living outside the incorporated Town of Danville limits.
