Season Ending for Town Sports Fields
Moratorium to begin Dec. 5, 2011
As the winter weather sets in,
the Town of Danville has announced the annual closure of the natural grass
sports fields in Danville. According to
Maintenance Services Manager Jed Johnson, all fields maintained by the Town of
Danville and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District will be closed
beginning December 5, 2011. This includes the Hap Magee Ranch Dog Park.
Johnson said that the moratorium
gives staff a chance to conduct routine maintenance and rest the fields, as
well as the re-sodding of the large dog park.
Weather permitting, the fields
are scheduled to re-open to public use on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
